I think they can be extremely fashionable.

Seriously though, these fashion rules really don't exist. Just because the fashion gods have said one thing doesn't mean its really true. Reality is, its only considered fashionable because somebody said it is and we decide to agree with them. It is just as easy to not agree.

So who cares - wear what you want and love it!

Re: are tapestry bags synonymous with high fashion?

mixed feelings about the Gucci collection...

Less last blog post..Gucci’s Autumn/Winter 08 Vision: Mixed Feelings

Re: are tapestry bags synonymous with high fashion?

Barchbo, Love the outfit you just described. See... that's how to carry it!

Re: are tapestry bags synonymous with high fashion?

Okay, I would totally carry one if it were hugely oversized and it went with my outfit. This is kind of "me". I would wear it with my shrunken brown velvet jacket, flowy silk cami, skinny jeans, chocolate stiletto heels/boots, and some chunky gold jewelry with my huge cranberry carpet bag. Very everyday.

Not that I am giving up my Erotokritos bag or vintage Gucci tote anytime soon, but...it's a great way to be "fall" without sweltering.

Re: are tapestry bags synonymous with high fashion?

I must admit ... I agree! I'm trying to see it from a different point of view (stylistically) but ....

Re: are tapestry bags synonymous with high fashion?

Unless they make one that is bottomless like Mary Poppins', I would never consider buying a tapestry bag - it really looks like they are made out of a carpet. And I don't even like that style on my floors.

Elisas last blog post..The road to mess is paved with good intentions
