As the 2nd shortest girl in the 7th grade, I felt I NEEDED them.  We called them high-heeled sneakers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;By any name:  yuck.  What was I thinking?!  I claim being 12 and it was the 80s as my excuses.
